Chateau Buffalo is proud to offer you Le Tastvin Wine Club. New York's wineries are producing some of the country's most exciting and elegant wines, but small production and limited distribution channels can make them hard to get your hands on.

Each month, we will feature one winery, selecting two wines from that winery. These selections represent the best quality and the best value that the winery has to offer.

Subscriptions can be customized to your taste. Your initial shipment includes a questionnaire to ensure that the wine we send meets your preferences. You can also choose a timetable - whether it be monthly, every 2 months or quarterly.

This month's selection is from Freedom Run Winery. These wines contain the first estate grown grapes from their Niagara Escarpment vineyard. And exciting wines they are! 

Freedom Run 2008 Estate Chardonnay is crafted in stainless steel vessels. This "naked" Chardonnay wine has not been allowed into an oak barrel. No contact with oak lets the Chardonnay bring forth its own character; fruit forward, crisp with lime zest and minerals. The wine is perfect with fish, poultry or other light dinner fare. This is definitely a food wine!

Freedom Run 2007 Estate Cabernet is a delicious blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. This red shows the amazing potential of the Niagara Escarpment region. The blend has a medium body that's layered with mouth-watering flavors. Ripe red and black fruit, earthy and somewhat musty with undertones of mushroom, a hint of licorice root. A great find!
